    VERY NICE pin back advertising the Marshalltown (Iowa) Chautauqua August 12-20, 1905.
    Chautauqua Movement was a cultural movement that began in the late 1800’s in NY as an educational opportunity in culture bringing lectures, music and other programs.  The movement spread throughout the US before dying out in the 1930’s as people gained more access to education.
    This button was made by the St. Louis Button Co.  Note the paperback is in perfect condition, too.
