This listing is for a special section of
The Dubois County Herald
newspaper from March 21, 1986, celebrating and wishing luck to the Southridge HS boys basketball team.  The 1985 Southridge team, without a senior on the roster,  made it all the way to the IHSAA Final Four before losing 76-52 in the semi-final to Marion HS, led by future Indiana University stars Jay Edwards and Lyndon Jones, who would go one to win the state championship undefeated.  This was still in the era of single-class basketball.  This 1986 team, led by coach Gary Duncan, Alan Nass, Rick & Ron Patberg, and the rest, would cement their legacy as one of the greatest, if not THE greatest high school basketball teams Huntingburg/Southridge would ever see!  This '86 team would again make it all the way to the IHSAA Final Four, and would again meet Marion HS in the semi-final.  This time the Raiders made the Giants earn it, as they eeked out a hard-fought 63-56 victory over the Raiders.  Newspaper is in absolute MINT condition (see listing pictures).  This is my only one of this item, so the newspaper shown in the listing pictures is THE
