Dedicated to the Hero of Ukraine, the first cosmonaut of independent Ukraine Leonid Konstantinovich Kadenyuk, who in 1997 flew on the American space shuttle “Columbia-87” ) as part of the international crew. The Ukrainian astronaut-researcher performed a wide range of works within the framework of a joint Ukrainian-American experiment, the task of which was to study the influence of microgravity on the growth and development of higher plants.
The souvenir banknote is made on watermarked paper (image of a globe with continents), a 1.5 mm protective tape is inserted into the thickness of the paper parallel to the smaller side of the banknote and protective fibers that acquire a fluorescent glow under the action of ultraviolet rays. The souvenir banknote is printed using offset, intaglio, screen and letterpress printing using protected inks. The dimensions of the souvenir banknote are 80 x 170 mm.
