There is a second listing on here that sells it unsoldered.  This is a difficult soldering job which is probably why he has done so.  Mine will all be soldered correctly and checked with a meter and microscope- as I do with every one of my soldering job. You also need to do reflow soldering, not a soldering iron to get it correctly. Also, the pins of the top part bend quite easily as I learned assembling my own, so you really want it correctly assembled rather than potentially shorting your card or motherboard.
The 561FLR-T were designed for Proliant Servers
and HP and Dell are bothguilty of using custom connectors to require you to buy their parts. The specificinterface is called Flexible LOM® I think.
A while ago a ton of these were unloaded on eBay for about halfthe price of a 10 Gb card normally. I did some research and found an “Open SourceHardware” adapter that somebody had made to allow it to connect to a normalPCIe 8x bus. I have experience with electronics so I put some together.
I was able to get this to work with Linux immediately, however Istruggled with Windows a bit.  For just the adapter, you assume the risk andexperience of getting it to work.
The author of that adapter is written on the part, it is not my design,and he has a GitHub repo so you can download it- It was a significantinvestment in time and money, but you are free to do the same thing if you like.
I’ve been as clear and honest as possible in this listing. Iunfortunately, do not accept returns unless something is misrepresented, as mywhole goal of starting to sell things on eBay is to unload the tens ofthousands of dollars of tech gear I’ve picked up over the years. Much of it notcurrently in use. I don’t look to make a profit here but being unemployed atthe moment, a bit back on what I put into it, helps.
